What is Soul Anchor?

Soul Anchor is a yearly Christian summer camp that began in 2004 with the theme verse, “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” from Hebrews 6:9 Every year our young people gather to learn more about Jesus, convene with the Holy Spirit, and experience an encounter with God. This year we are happy to invite our brothers and sisters from across the country to worship and fellowship with us!

When is camp? How much does it cost?

Camp officially begins on Friday July 3 at 3:00 pm until Monday July 6 at 11:00 am. Soul Anchor costs $260 which includes 8 meals, housing, and a souvenir camp t-shirt.

Where is Soul Anchor?

Soul Anchor this year will be held at Oak Glen Christian Conference Center. We have held camp at Oak Glen for years and are familiar with the campgrounds. It is roughly 85 miles east of Los Angeles at 39364 Oak Glen Road Yucaipa, California 92399-9752. For more information please visit their site here. If we’re coming from out of state, where can we fly in and how do we get to camp?

Los Angeles International Airport is the closest airport to Word International Ministries Los Angeles. WIN LA will arrange transportation for anyone flying into LAX. We will pick up campers from the airport on July 3 to the campsite and back to the airport on July 6 following camp.

Neighboring airports include Long Beach Airport, John Wayne Airport, and Ontario International Airport. WIN LA is only able to accommodate those flying in and out of LAX on July 3 and July 6. If you have any questions please consult your respective leader or reach out to a leader from WIN LA.

What is “GO THE DISTANCE”?

Our theme verse for this year’s Soul Anchor 2026 comes from Hebrews 12:1, ”Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us”

It is easy  for us to become complacent and lose focus on the prize which is Christ especially as life gets busier and challenging. As life goes on often find ourselves “weighed down” with sin, complacency, anxiety, and all the other burdens and hardships of life. The author of Hebrews likens the Christian walk as a race/marathon in which we must run it with endurance. Preparing for and running a race is challenging since its long and In order to endure and finish the race, it requires laying aside distractions, consistency/discipline, and unwavering focus.
